Like anyone in the type of job I do I have to give presentations. I use keynote as it is much slicker with graphics and hopefully helps keep my audience engaged with what I am trying to get across. Most audiences nowadays are used to sitting through a set of slides listening to a speaker. A few years ago when digital projectors where relatively new in education some audiences were “wowed” by animations and transitions in powerpoint. This just does not happen anymore. Guy Kawasaki has an interesting post on presentations. He calls it the The 10/20/30 Rule of PowerPoint . He makes some pretty valuable observations and is worth reading.
Also worth looking at if you are labouring over yet another presentation, as I am right now, is this blog that attempts to define and link to the best 10 presentations ever!
