Facebook - it might come back and bite you!

Louise and I are working on a range of e-safety issues right now. One of the things we have produced is a set of draft guidelines for new and probationer teachers in our authority. This little video Youtube clip encapsulates a lot of what we have been discussing. Its a BBC 3 sketch that asks whether folk really want to be in a place where they can be found and poked by virtual strangers - and have embarrassing moments from their past plastered all over the internet.

    It’d be worth keeping your eyes open for the EIS’s forthcoming advice to members on the use of SNSes. The advice is probably very similar to what you’re coming up with - it’s common sense. As always, though, it helps to have the common sense in black and white somewhere :-)
